Who we are
The year of foundation of the Association of the Boatmen of Mykonos is 1939!
The big history of the Association of the Boatmen of Mykonos has started since 1939 when the locals of Mykonos founded the first Association of Boatmen in Greece.
Since the first day of its commission, the Association was serving at first the ships of the coasting and later the first cruise ships which were arriving at the island.
In this period the disembarkation and the boarding of the passengers was being completed by simple boats which were including sails and paddles!
As the years pass the visitors to our island are becoming more and more!
However, the time has changed and Mykonos becomes through the years the destination of more and more tourists, bigger cruise boats arrive at our island which has as result the constant upgrade of our Association’s fleet for the tourists’ satisfaction.
The paddles became machines, the sails and the wooden boats are not here anymore and we can say for sure that we have in our disposition a very contemporary fleet which includes 12 boats made by polyester offering high-level services to all of our clients.
